PIERRE U. TAGLE, Ph.D. -- Managing Director

Dr. Tagle is a recognized expert in industry and academe in the field of computer science; communications and networking; and information security. Prior to his current consulting practice and as Managing Director of, Mobiliance Incorporated, Pierre previously served as the CIO of the SVI Group of Companies, one of the pioneers in the Philippines outsourcing industry, which dealt with software development/maintenance, call centers and BPO services. He has extensive experience as IT/networking/security consultant in the business development, conceptualization, design and implementation of various industry projects including IT parks (Northgate-Cyberzone, Fort Bonifacio); call centers, BPO and other ICT companies. Among his own direct clients are BPO and contact center companies; software development companies; a group aiming to link together 1800+ rural banks nationwide; and academic institutions.

Concurrent to his consulting practice, he also serves as an Assistant Professor at the Ateneo de Manila University, and has previously served as its Campus Network Manager. Pierre earned his B.S. in Physics and Computer Engineering in Ateneo before finishing his Ph.D. in Computer Science at La Trobe University (Australia). He has internationally published technical papers in performance and reliability analysis, switching architectures and broadband networks.
