Mobiliance Managing Director to take on I.T. consultant role for the Social Security System (SSS).

Dr. Pierre Tagle, Managing Director of Mobiliance Incorporated, has been tapped as I.T. Consultant by the Social Security System (SSS) for its ICT infrastructure, information security and I.T. organization review requirements. The project includes the review of current technical issues, initiatives, directions and requirements of the organization and the recommendation of a high-level roadmap of ICT projects. The project also called for a review of the make-up of the IT Management Group (ITMG), which is responsible for the design, operation and maintenance of the SSS ICT infrastructure. It will cover key ICT areas such as network architecture and configuration; security architecture; disaster recovery and business continuity strategies; and the IT organizational structure and scope of work.

The Philippine Social Security System (SSS) is the agency created to establish social security protection to workers in the private sector. Implemented in accordance with Republic Act 1161, better known as the Social Security Act of 1954, the SSS was established in 1 September 1957. With members numbering more than 25 million in 2007, the SSS requires a robust and scalable information technology infrastructure to support the many programs and services it provides to its members. Mobiliance Managing Director takes on lead consultant role in large security baselining project for the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Dr. Pierre Tagle, Managing Director of Mobiliance Incorporated, was tapped as Senior Consultant and Team Lead for a security baselining project at Asian Development Bank (ADB) project under a project by Software Ventures International (SVI). The project called for the creation of security baselines and subsequent partial verification and gap analysis of server and network systems of the ADB. This called for the development of detailed verification checklists in accordance with ADB security baselines and NIST SP 800-53, to establish minimum security controls required for protecting critical information systems. Gap analysis was conducted on a sample of critical information systems (Windows 2000/2003; AIX v5.3, SUSE Linux 10 and IBM mainframe zOS v1 r7). Finally, an options analysis of available products for use in maintaining security baselines was provided for consideration. Dr. Tagle was tasked to form the nucleus of a team to work closely with SVI personnel.
